How this list works. We copy details from each venue's, store's or library's own page and show the date we last checked. Cards marked "Also on our Calgary page" are the same listings as on our main Calgary page, shown here so you don't have to hunt for them. For discounts we only list stores whose own policy names homeschool teachers, and we note the proof they ask for. Stores can change their rules at the register, so check before you buy. We are not affiliated with any venue or store here.

Heritage Park Historical Village

A guided homeschool program at the historical village. Programs are capped at 15 students. One guardian per student is complimentary, and guardians help with the program. Younger siblings are not allowed. Registration closes at 9 a.m. two days before. Refunds are available up to 14 days before, less a $25 fee. A minimum number of registrations is needed for a day to run. The park's self-guided Living History visit is an alternative. The next day after this one is Fri Apr 16, 2027.

Calgary Public Library

Borrow the Contemporary Calgary Art Pass, an interactive book, from any Calgary Public Library location. It gives library patrons free access to the Contemporary Calgary art gallery, where you can add your own creations to the book. A Calgary Public Library card is free.

Free interactive police museum

Calgary Police Discovery Centre

Admission and parking are free (donations are welcome). Hands-on exhibits include forensics, a fingerprint station, a uniform try-on and Throwbots missions in the Tactical Zone. Public hours are limited because school groups fill the building Monday to Thursday.
